I recall watching The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes in the 1980’s when Bill Collins was on channel 10. I remember that he mentioned that the original film was nearly three hours in length and had 3 other mysteries in the film (but unfortunately the footage is missing) but was edited down for its wider release.
